Chief Medical Physicist -
Manages the work, assignments, schedules, and functions of the Radiation Physicists and Dosimetrists. Performs all functions of a Radiation Physicist. Communicates with Program Radiation Oncologists on a daily basis maintaining professional working relationships. Develops and recommends new program services and treatment alternatives. Serves as the primary point person regarding Medical Physics/ Dosimetry billing.
Required Education/Expereince
Masters Degree in Physics from an accredited college or university.
Certification as a Medical Physicist by the ABR or the ABMP.
Five years clinical experience as a physicist in radiation oncology.
Preferred Education: Ph.D. in Physics |
